Trip with Mom and Dad

Since this was my parents' first ever trip to Tasmania, the place where nobody wants to live or stay long, Stanley and I decided to bring them to Hobart, Port Arthur and Mount Wellington. We drove to Port Arthur as soon as we reached Hobart. It was abut an hour and a half's drive to Port Arthur but it's definitely worth your money and your petrol =p

Let me tell you little about the history of Port Arthur. It was a convict settlement back in the 1800's owned by the British. The location of Port Arthur was so strategic back in those days because it was far away from land and there's no chance of convicts escaping from that place despite the strong and macho guards patrolling the entire place. It was also the first convict settlement in the world to have a boys prison which is called the Point Puer Boys Prison (it's a separated island from Port Arthur but not far. Also, there's a place called the Isle of Dead was used to bury free persons, convicts and paupers in Port Arthur. The only difference between the good and the bad was free persons were buried on the north side of the island with their names engraved on the tomb whereas convicts were buried without tombs.

The remaining block behind us was once rooms for convicts

On the cruise which brings us on a short tour around Port Arthur

This place was once the hospital to cure good and bad people in the settlement

On the very next day we went up to Mount Wellington. During the winter times, it is usually covered with snow. The first time i went up there was about 3 years ago and it was Easter Day. Geeeee it snowed during easter unbelievable!!!!

The whole Hobart city could be viewed from up here =p
After Mount Wellington we went to the ZooDoo Wildlife Park. Wallabies, wombats, Tasmanian devils, koalas, emus, ostriches etc....

Stanley feeding the deer......big wet tongue ewwwww!!!!

End of trip part one....we went to the gold mine two days later but i dont wanna write the post unless i have nothing to do =p

My Graduation

Hellooooo readers i'm back on track again tsk tsk.......

I only managed to sit down and write this post after Mom and Dad left Launnie on Monday night. I miss them already....i could not sleep....i started crying....cry baby yadda yadda.....

I officially graduated from uni and has been admitted to the degree of Bachelor Of Biomedical Science on Saturday, the 13th of December. I'm happy..really happy because i do not have to rush for assignments and study for exams anymore...such horrible things to do during uni days..i had enough already say goodbye! *wave goodbye*

However, in a dilemma state i do not want to end uni life just like that. No concession rates for movies, bus fares and lots more..alumni does not help much..siiiigh!!!

Alrighty check Ivy Eng out with her gown and mortarboard..funny things to put on actually. And it rained so heavily that day..ruining everything..the gown became the raincoat for some people..the mortarboard became the umbrella........

Thank you Yowie for the flower-that-never-die =)

Mommy and Daddy

Mommy said this was the best shot =p

My boyfriend and the love of his life *shy*

Sunshine on Gold Coast

I'm back i'm back I'M BACK!!!!!!!

Time flies....there goes a week at Gold Coast and Brisbane =_=''

I like Queensland so much...i like the sun i like the beaches i like the shopping arcade i like walking around not in layered-up clothes but just shorts, sandals/thongs and T-shirt haha! What i wanna say is you'll definitely understand what i meant if you got stranded too long in Tassie =(

When my flight touched down at the Brisbane domestic airport, I was so happy..the breeze and the warmth of the sun....awwww it was just nice and comfortable =))))

I waited for the shuttle bus to take me to Gold Coast to meet up with mommy and Auntie Soo. While waiting for the bus, one by one i took the brochures and all the pamphlets regarding tours and places ot interests and of course THEME PARKS..how can i miss that hehe!

The journey from the Brisbane airport to Surfers Paradise took about an hour and a half and the bus stopped right in front of our accommodation. Mommy and Auntie Soo had already checked-in, only waiting for the princess to arrive. We met up with Cherlyn for japanese food that night and called it a day because everyone was tired especially mom and aunt who travelled on a 9-hour flight from Hong Kong.

If you read the newspaper or watch news on TV then you should know there were about 30,000 schoolies in Gold Coast last week. Schoolies or school leavers from around Australia were having a bigger than blast BLAST, unlimited alcohol and *ehem ehem* in the Surfers for 2 weeks. Leaving high school and college really is a thing to celebrate. These schoolies did enjoyed themselves...being drunk and high during the night and yelled ' Asians are gay' wtf! They even ran naked on the beach but only at night. Moreover, they could have the beach just for themselves...the beach was closed from 7pm to 5am just for them to party party and party! How i wish we could have one back in Malaysia but where..Pulau Pinang or Pulau Redang hahaha!

Surfers paradise yeay!

Specially dedicated to Yowie *evil grin*

My favourite things-to-do for the day...gelato!

Heeheeeeeee!!!!!

The last picture of the trip *wave goodbye*

You may have noticed why i said last picture of the trip..hehe...thats because we only managed to went down to the beach the day before we left Gold Coast! We spent too much time somewhere else shopping then theme parks then sleeping in the room......one week is absolutely not enough to waste hehehehehe!

Ciao ^^
